no video on led wall multi machines broadcast de trial

Is there a limitation on trial that prevents me to seethe unreal scene on the led wall?

I have the following setup

Hardware

1 curve Led wall 25mW*5mH 10000*2000 pixels

1 ceiling led wall 14mL*6ml 2352*1008 pixels

5 pc - 4 renderers, 1 server, 3 PC feeding the curved led - with 2 A6000 linked Gpu's, 1 Pc feeding the ceiling led  wit 1A4000 GPU, all5 pc's have BMD DeckLink 8k pro capture card. All pc have genlock in the capture card, all gpu are synchronised with Nvidia quadrophonic sync cards, firs 1 get's genlock and sends it to all others thru framelock. the output  for the LED walls from all pc's is 3840*2160 for synchronisation purpose.

The curved led is signal is divided  in 3 3400*2000+3200*2000+3400*2000

the ceiling led is 1 signal 2352*1008

Camera Tracking system - Ncam

The system works with Ndisplay I try to see how it works with Aximmetry.

I have Broadcast de on the control pc, 2 Studio SE and 2 Studio DE on the render pc's. All on trial.

I have tried on both 2024.3 and beta 2025.

On both i have tried in 2 ways, with the same , on check i can see the test pattern on the LED's when i set the screens on final i get the orange no output imahe on the screens.

First approach: 1 LED Wall for the curved led with 3 slices with the resolutions from above sent to a series of 3 placer precise to keep the resolution of the slices as above since the output signal of the renderers is UHD then to the led wall1 channel. 1 Led wall for the ceiling sent to a placer precise module then to the led wall 2 channel.

Second approach: 3 led walls for the curved led each sent to a placer precise module, then tot their respective channel, positioned in line and the 4th to the ceiling using another placer precise module.

In all the attempts i used an example unreal scene, i re added the 3cam4wall camera, cooked and used the 3cam4walls compound.

In all attempts i got the test screen to display on all led walls correctly and in the correct position and when switching the scene and the screens to final - no output orange image on all led walls, and F1-F4 turned off.

As you can see in the images below i linked the F1-F4 to preview to show the problem. The only time i got an unreal scene image out was when i switched the output for an led wall to the secondary monitor of the broadcast de pc.  Also, in 2025 beta the renderers send a no input message for the tracking camera wich is working and the broadcast de is getting signal from. The camera with the tracking on it is getting in every pc on input 2 as it is mapped on the broadcast.

All the pc's have the projects folder set to the network mapped folder on the server pc.

As I said before the system works with ndisplay, i know the hardware setup is ok,  so what is wrong? I need to see the final output and the frustrum on the led walls with watermark , or any overlay on it, i need to load a  project witch i know that works with lo fps on ndisplay and compare the results so i can decide if we get aximmetry licences or not.

Can anyone tell me if there are limitations from the trial or something i do i wrong?

Hi,

This is the limitation of the Studio license. The Studio license does not support the full functionality of the LED Wall compound. For comprehensive use, you must use a Broadcast license for each computer.

You have three options:

Also, note that on the controller machines, you do not see what other computers are rendering. However, you could transmit the rendered videos from the remote machines to the controller machine by following this guide: https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/multi-machine-environment/advanced-information-and-features/transmiting-videos-from-render-to-control-machine/
This option is particularly useful if the remote computers do not have monitors connected so you don't see what is going on them.

Warmest regards,

Thank you for the reply.

I will think about what testing solution i will use. From what i understand if we want to use Aximmetry we will need 5 broadcast licences? 1 for the composer and 4 for the rendering machines? because in the documentation about multi machines it it says that i would need 1 broadcast de licence for the composer and 4 studio licences for the renderers with watermark removal rented and additional sdi,ndi....ports rented if needed.

"Licenses

For the controlling machine, you need a https://aximmetry.com/learn/faq/licenses/#broadcast-edition.
For the satellite(renderer) machines, any license can be used, depending on the input interface of the camera and the camera tracking system you would like to use with the camera connected to the satellite machine. "

So how is it? how would our setup be? 1 composer, 4 renderers, maybe another pc for unreal so i don't load the composer to much, 1 camera with ncam tracking, maybe 1 additional sdi input - in ndisplay i use 1 sdi input for timecode master, 1 sdi output for recording and eventual ar . on the composer maybe. What licence i would need on each machine?

Hi,

Unfortunately, the Aximmetry Editions document is short in detail, and the multi-machine document is a bit outdated. A new version is being written to include all recent changes for multi-machine setups available in Aximmetry version 2025.1.0. For a multi-machine setup involving AR or Green Screen production, without a professional camera tracking system like Ncam, you would need only one Broadcast license.
There is a comprehensive summary of license requirements for each production type available here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/which-aximmetry-is-right-for-you/how-many-licenses-do-you-need/#green-screen-and-ar-production

Each machine in the LED Wall setup requires a Broadcast license. Even the controller machine, which might not be rendering any content, still needs a Broadcast license because it functions as the controller.

Note that Aximmetry's system is distinct from Unreal's Ndisplay.
With Aximmetry, you might be able to use fewer computers to handle the same amount of pixel rendering, depending on the resolution at which you render the Frustum:

Additionally, all computers that output to the LED Wall will employ Unreal to render and receive camera tracking data from Ncam. This is needed to minimize any delay, which is crucial in LED Wall productions.

For rendering AR graphics (with camera tracking) live on a separate computer using Aximmetry, it will also require a Broadcast license because Ncam is considered a professional camera tracking system.

Lastly, I hadn't noticed in your previous message that you are using Studio SE. Keep in mind that the SE versions do not support Unreal—only Aximmetry-rendered scenes. You need the DE (Dual Engine) version for each computer that renders with Unreal.

Warmest regards,
