Clean Plate Generator not capturing

I´m having trouble getting the 3D clean plate generator to actually capture anything. Built an FBX model of the studio, I can put that into the flow, set the import options, connect it to the clean plate pin of the 3+3 mixed cam unreal compound and also have it show up as wireframe in the generator. I can then transform it to match the green surface pretty well and it gets tracked correctly when I move or zoom the camera. Then I turn on blended monitoring and the model is nicely displayed as a magenta surface with the dimensions of our green box. But triggering capture does not produce the expected green "window". Instead the whole model turns green with a grey "veil" over it, and no Plate is generated. What am I missing here?

Happens in 2024.2.0 and 2024.3.0.

Hi,

The normals of the model are flipped, the normals are facing outwards not inward you should flip them.

The UV map is incorrect there are overlapping faces. You can use Project from the View menu (looking at the model so the entire model is visible) for UV unwrapping or if you are using Blender, Unwrap / Smart UV Project works fine too.

Warmest regards,

I also noticed that using seams can create issues with the cleanplate even when those are usually part of some best practices when UV unwrapping. Also when I used some dedicated UV unwrapping tools like ZEN UV and Packmaster pro, the results didn't work for some reason even when no UV islands were over lapping and the result were seemingly "perfect" . After unwrapping with just the default smart UV unwrap without seams often seems to work best even when it wouldn't technically always lead to what would usually be considered optimal UV map. So after some set backs I wouldn't try to optimize texel density etc, with the cleanplate it seems the easiest works the most predictably. If someone knows how to optimize the unwrap without getting issues then I'm of course curious.
