Cooking does not produce an xcomp. You can create a new one and assemble the scene, or take the basic xcomp scene from the tutorials and change it to point to your uproject file.

Thank you for letting me know. I was mislead by a tutorial from Aximmetry I was watching. It seemed like when I cook the project the xcomp file is suddenly there.
