Genlock not shown

Dear,

I use AJA corvid 88 for video I/O and reference input, but the on screen info did not show the genlock input.

Thank you

Regards,

I think genlock happens on a hardware level, so there’s no way for Aximmetry to know if your AJA cards] or camera is genlocked. The Sync switch on the Outputs screen just makes sure Aximmetry is rendering at the same frame rate that the card is outputting, at least from my understanding. Also, are you sure you want to output interlaced?

Thank you for your quick response.

Yes, I would like to make sure the SDI output signal is synchronised.

Do you mean SYNC switch is that rendering at the same frame rate, NOT the SDI output signal is genlocked?

Yeah, genlock in the output happens in hardware on the AJA card, after it receives the frames from Aximmetry. Everything is genlocked internally in Aximmetry automatically, so as long as you have the Sync switch enabled on the output it’s all good. I usually match the Aximmetry project settings frame rate anyway, just to be sure.

Hi,

For the G to show up here:

You need to select #2 here:

In most use cases, you would want to select #2 anyway, as usually Out video pin is exposed to #2:

As TwentyStudios said, this is just a display to show if your capture card is genlocked.

Warmest regards,
