I am getting red output in my Axmmietry Studio DE

Hello, after updating the Aximmetry from 2023.1 to the latest 2023.2.2, when I launch Aximmetry and try to load the News Room Compound (or any other Compound for that matter) I'm getting this fully red output/preview.

System info:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3090
RAM: 128GB DDR4 3200 Mhz
STORAGE: Samsung SSD 980 PRO 2TB

Hi,

It could be a badly compiled shader.

Try clearing the cache at Edit->Prefences - General - Clear Resource Cache:

Hello, thank you for the advice,

I have tried clearing the resource cache, or even reinstalling GPU Drivers and Aximmetry.

Unfortunately it was unsuccessful. The strange thing is, that I vividly remember that back in 2023.1 I've also got the "TV Timer" on the preview/output but now I just get black screen.

Best regards,

Thanks

Hi Ericnolin,

First, you should try to clear the cache as said above. If it doesn't help, you could try reinstalling Aximmetry.

This means that you don’t have a valid video input set for the camera signal. Try setting the format to Auto. If you’re using a Decklink, also make sure you have updated to the latest drivers.

 Hi,

I'm getting the above red on previews and outputs too.
Have tried clear resource cache to no avail.

However when I remove Ax from the machine and reinstall it it will work for the first compound I open, then it goes back to red screens till I remove the application again.
I've reinstalled many times at this stage and it's the same every time.
Restarting the machine made no difference.

The screen below was using UE but using your demo levels had the same effect, it works for the first compound after a reinstall but then red screens.

Using an a6000 on latest drivers.

Any ideas?

Hi Clonkotoron,

Has your issue been resolved? If not, could you please specify which version and license of Aximmetry you are using, and under which account? We need this information to understand exactly what you are entitled to.

Warmest regards,

I have a very similar issue with Clonkotoron
Only at first time after installation Axi will work,
Then the following usage will not work anymore.
Need to reinstall again and again.
Is it something to do with Windows Version? I am still using Window 10 latest version.

P.S.
Clonkotoron, may I know what Window Version you are using? Is it Windows 10 or Windows 11?

Thank you

No it never did.
I was using Studio. DE on Windows 10.

I got a trial of Broadcast DE to make it work again, the Studio licence stopped working.

Thanks for coming back!

Thank you Clonkotorin for the information.

Does it mean that you manage to use it again?
Do you have guides on how can I use aximmetry again without the RED screen error?
Thank you.

I got a 30 day trial of the Broadcast DE and it started working again.
What licence are you on?

Hello,

I have the same problem with the new version 2024.1 (only red preview screen). It doesn't matter whether I open the sample studios from Aximmetry or my own UE projects.

My old Aximmetry version 2023.2 works!

I use the Studio version.

Please help.

Greetings

Clonkotoron, I have a license and it's been issued by my client.
Sorry I cannot understand your question about what license are am I on...

My client wants me to upgrade to Windows 11 and it may resolve the issue,
That's why I'm here asking for other users if they got the same issue as mine and what version of Windows they are using.

Thank you

Hi,

If you encounter a red screen issue with Aximmetry version 2024.1.0 or newer, try clearing the cache by navigating to Edit > Preferences > General > Clear Resource Cache.

If the red screen persists after restarting Aximmetry, it may be necessary to perform a clean installation. To do this, run the Aximmetry installer again.
NOTE: If you have deleted the installer since the initial installation, do not worry. You can run it from Windows Settings -> Apps -> Installed Apps and select the modify option for the installed Aximmetry. Alternatively, you can download the installer again, ensuring it matches the version of your installed Aximmetry.
Click on Repair under Aximmetry, and then select the Clean install option:

Begin the clean install process by clicking on Next:

After the process finishes, you can run Aximmetry and check if the issue still persists.

Please note that the old clean installation process does not apply to Aximmetry version 2024.1.0 or newer and might even be counterproductive.

Warmest regards,
